Pirate Coordinates

After being greeted by a floor display showing our community (this half term's BISCAT theme), the children in Ms Michelle's class showed me what they had been doing in maths.  On a grid the children had drawn a 'treasure island'.  Having first added a pirate, the map was then filled with mountains, trees and treasure.  Gally explained to me how to identify something on the map using coordinates.  Gia An then showed me how  to direct the pirate to the treasure using compass directions.
