Preparations for Jack

At TX we pride ourselves on the quality of our productions.  Last year we enjoyed 'The Jungle Book', 'Cinderella Rockerfella', 'The Litter Muncher', 'Santa's Lost his Jingles', as well as the class assemblies and music concerts. Ms Sue always thanks teachers and teacher's assistants for all the hard work that goes in to the final production.  So why do we put so much time and effort into these productions?
There are many proven educational benefits to taking part in a production which is why we build them in to the curriculum:
Self-confidence - there is a great sense of achievement after performing.
Cooperation/collaboration - everyone is working together for the final result.
Concentration - Everyone needs to remain focused so they know when to speak, act or sing.
Communication skills - the ability to speak clearly and fluently in front of others is a life skill.
MP2 have recently begun their rehearsals for their upcoming performance of Jack and the Beanstalk.  I went so see how they were getting on today.  Even at this early stage, I can see it is going to be another wonder performance that we can all be proud of.
