Shopping in F2
Imaginative play is so important for children in EYFS. Through pretending to be in different situations, not only are they developing social skills, essential for being able to play an active role in our school, but they are given opportunities to reinforce their speaking and listening skills. This morning, children in F2 were playing in the shop. They knew who were the 'customers' and who was the 'shop keeper'. The children were telling me how much the different items cost, and then the shopkeeper checked if I wanted Vinasun or Mailinh before he called me a taxi.
