The Flag Parade

This is one of my favourite days of the year!  It is wonderful to be on 'gate duty' watching all the children arrive in their various national costumes.  There is so much excitement in the air as someone new arrives and their friends rush over exclaiming, 'You look amazing!'  It creates an almost magical atmosphere in the playground.  
The atmosphere carries on to the sports hall as parents wait expectantly to see the children arrive.  Our flag bearers did a marvellous job leading their fellow country countrymen around the hall, whilst Ms Sue and I read out fascinating facts.  
Our flag parade really sets the scene for International Week.  Well done to everyone for putting in so much effort.
