QR Codes - Year 6

There has been a big increase in the use of QR codes over the last two years. You often see them on advertisements, on bottles and packets of food, Ms Jocelyn even saw them on a pair of earrings recently.  If you have a smartphone or some other mobile device, you can download an app to read QR codes which will then show a video, some text or a web-page.
If you have a reader, try scanning this code.
Year 6 have been doing a project on formal and informal language.  As part of the project, the children have created a virtual tour of the school.  In groups they have created a wiki, with videos, providing information about the different rooms.  The QR codes are now displayed all around school, so if you have the reader, why not try some out.

The children have another audience for their QR Virtual Tour.  Tomorrow, we are hosting an ICT conference for teachers in FOBISSEA schools, so we will have 25 visitors who will all be very interested in what the children have produced.
