At times the noise was deafening in the pool this morning. Saigon, Hanoi, Dalat and Hue were competing to win this year's interhouse swimming gala. First up were the children in Milepost 1. Everyone swam really well from beginners to those who looked like they could soon be swimming at the Olympics. The final tyre relay was a tight affair, especially for Mr. Rob! It was won by the children.
After a short break, it was the turn of the children in Years 3 to 6. The standard of the children, especially those who have been at TX since Year 1, is fantastic. After an initial set of relays, the 20m races showed the speed of the children, then came the 40m races which gave some children the opportunity to demonstrate their tumble turns. There were many very close races, all carried out in a great spirit. The cheering, the music, Mr Mike's shouts of encouragement made for a wonderful event. Although the lead changed hands several times during the morning, there could only be one winner, and so congratulations go to Hue, TX Interhouse Swimming Champions 2013.
