F2 Superheroes

It is not often that I demonstrate my super-power, but as the children in F2 have been learning about 'Superheroes' I thought it was appropriate time.  Being able to see through objects is particularly useful for a teacher, so this morning I demonstrated this to Ms Chloe's and Ms Grace's children by identifying a range of different objects that were hidden in a box.  The children were amazed, but not as much as I was when they told me about their own powers.
Some could jump higher than castles, others could become invisible, while several told me they could breathe out bubbles to catch the baddies.  One child told me that her superpower was to make everyone calm and then make flowers grow.
Once again, the importance of imaginative play was demonstrated as the children listened, continued to build and reinforce vocabulary, as well as learning to play alongside each other.
