Information Literacy in AP2

Ms Rachel and I travelled over to the An Phu Secondary Campus after lunch today to visit Mr Alan Jacques. Mr Alan is the senior librarian in the BIS group of schools and the leading authority on Information Literacy. The purpose of it visit was to get a better understanding of the enquiry process in secondary and plan how can further develop these essential skills at TX. After observing a lesson where a group of Year 8 children were researching infectious diseases, we discussed the fabulous progress we have made at TX in this area. Being part of a larger group of schools has many advantages, one of which is that we can draw on each other's areas of expertise, so we arranged for Mr Alan to come over to work with our teachers to help us extend our Information Literacy work further.
