Lockdown, Lockdown, Lockdown!

I had just finished explaining to 4X that we were going to send the labelled skeletons, that we had created on the iPads, to Ms Yen via e-mail, when the public address system crackled into life and Ms Sue's voice was clearly heard saying, 'Lockdown, lockdown, lockdown!'
The children knew exactly what to do.  They immediately stopped what they were doing, went under the tables and sat in silence until we heard the all clear.  Ms Yen and I locked the door, turned off the lights and closed the blinds.  It was at this point that I thought I would video what it was like under 'lockdown' conditions, so everyone could get an idea of what it is like.
If you have any questions about how or why we have 'lockdown' practices, please click on 'No comments' below and leave a comment or e-mail me.

  1. Michael explained to me that he had "lockdown" . He said "I am not scared. I ran under the table and that is fine " that is very good to teach kids how to protect themselves just in case . Good job.
