The 'dragons' can be a fearsome group and when the first set of entrepreneurs entered the den this morning, they received quite an interrogation. Nevertheless, Nicole and Lucy set the tone for this morning with a well organised and confident pitch about the uniqueness, features, safety and profitability of their ride.
This was the IPC exit point for the Year 6 topic 'Fairgrounds', and the children had been working with Mr Richard in Information Literacy to consider the best way to present the ride they had built in such a way as to persuade the dragons to invest their money.
The dragons (Ms Sue, Mr Steve, Ms Charlie (art) and myself) were impressed with the inventiveness of the rides, the marketing ideas and professional nature of the presentations.
It was a very difficult job deciding which ride to invest in but congratulations must go to Angel and Sylvia for their Donut Sprinkles Ride. As they said, it sounds pink and for girls but it is not for the feint hearted.
