Where has this year gone? It doesn't seem like a week has gone since we were preparing for the Moon Festival celebration in September. Now, we are looking forward to next year, and as part of that preparation, today was 'Transition Day'. This morning at 8.30am, the children left the security and familiarity of their own classroom and teacher, and tentatively made their way along the corridor (and in some cases, up the stairs) to their new classroom. Some teachers remained where they were, others had to make quick moves around the school to receive their new class. There was then an hour of introductions and activities, including exploring the new classroom, playing 'Getting to know you Bingo' and creating a living time capsule, where the children took various measurements so they can see how much they grow in the upcoming year. The hour passed quickly and very chatty children went back to their old class with excited thoughts of the new year running around their heads.
