TX Music Concert - Showtime

The red carpet was rolled out, and all the stars were shining for the TX summer concert - Showtime!  And what an event it was - choirs, drums, solos, orchestral pieces, all around the theme of the movies.  There were some old favourites, such as 'A Spoonful of Sugar' from Mary Poppins sang wonderfully by the MP1 choir, and some more unfamiliar pieces like the theme to 'The Pirates of the Caribbean' performed by the orchestra.  There were two new acts to entertain us this year; the TX Brass Group played 'Oh When the Saints' and the Chamber Choir beautifully sang their version of 'Colours of the Wind' from Poncontas.
Well done to Mr Robbie for working so hard to make the event so successful. He was ably supported by Mr Mike, Ms Heather and Ms Alice in orchestra and Ms Claire who led the drummers for the last time.
A DVD will be available early next week, and there is a photolink below the slideshow if you would like to download any of the photos.
