The TX International Flag Parade 2014

Pink, blue, yellow, red, green, purple - every colour you can possibly imagine was on display today as the children paraded around the hall in their national costumes.  The TX International Flag Parade really is a celebration of global community.  Not only did the children (and some parents) look amazing, but we were also treated to a couple extras.  Firstly, our Indian mums gave us wonderful demonstration of Indian dance, then a young drummer from An Phu by the name of Jun Han blew us away with his Korean drumming.
Ms Sue and I usually read different facts about the countries, whilst the children are parading around the hall.  This year we took the theme of renewable energy and endangered species.  As Vietnam was last, I took the opportunity to raise the profile of the Saola; one of the rarest animals on our planet and yet one which we see everyday.  Along with the lion, a national symbol of the UK, the Saola appears on on our school crest as a symbol for Vietnam and representing peace and harmony.
If you follow the Photolink below, there are over 400 photos.  Please feel free to download any of your child.
