Looking back to last, there are many moments that will live long in the memories of all those at TX; the colourful costumes at the Flag Parade, the delicious foods on offer in the International Buffet and, of course, the International Week TX Style video. However, as well as celebrating the International diversity that exists at TX, International Week also provides a wonderful for children to get involved with others from different year groups.
The children from Y1 to Y6 all had passports. Hidden amongst the corridor displays were a series of colour coordinated (according to Mile Post) questions. When the children had answered them correctly, they got a flag sticker of that country.
Mr Pat took on the role of Postman Pat. The children wrote postcards with information about the country they have been studying, for somebody in a different year group. On Friday, Postman Pat delivered the postcards, much to the delight of all the children.
A highlight at the end of the week was the 'Explore the Earth' assembly, where the children got to share dances, songs and information with the rest of the school community.
I really love the postcard idea. That must have been fun!
