'Digital Citizenship means teaching the people (users of a computer) the rules of good membership on the Internet.' Rose 5T
In December, the children in Years 5 and 6 were given the task of telling me in what 'digital citizenship' is. Many children responded and I have selected 12 children to be TX's 'Networkers in Action'.
These children will be spending 2 hours with Robyn Treyvaud, a world expert in digital citizenship, learning how to 'Think Critically, Behave Safely and Participate Responsibly.'They will then be expected to pass their knowledge on to the other children in the school.
Before the children's training, Robyn will be talking to all the parents about this issue. If you are able to, please join us in the Multi-Purpose Room at 7.45am this coming Monday (14th January). To ensure our children who are 'growing up digital' are safe, responsible and critical thinkers, as parents we need to listen to Robyn Treyvaud.
