Children Learn Anywhere!

Children learn.  This is, of course, true in the classroom, but learning does not stop when the lesson finishes.  At home, children are constantly learning, whether it is from siblings, books, films or the television, they will learn!  It is our job as educators and parents to ensure that children are learning the things we want them to learn.
In Year 2, the children's learning is not confined to the classroom.  'Our Writing Wall' has been created in the corridor.  The children have been encouraged to write their own sentences on the wall.  Not only that, but to 'uplevel' some sentences that are already there. The displays incorporate VCOP to help the children extend their sentences.
The terms 'VCOP' and 'Uplevel' may be unfamiliar to some parents.  I wonder if there are any children reading the blog who could put a comment explaining what those words mean.
