The last night of a residential trip is always special. There is a mixture of emotions as everyone knows the trip is nearly over but at the same time, there is the excitement of returning home to see mum and dad. In Hoi An, we walked to the Golden Bridge restaurant. Not only was the barbecue they had prepared for us great, but the karaoke was set, ready for us when we had finished eating.
A stirring Christmas number got us underway, and this was followed by a great duet. Ms Alice then too it to the next level, with her rendition of 'Wake me up Buttercup'. The children noticed that there was a song from the upcoming Spring concert which many children could join in with. Ms Natasha would have been proud, especially as the karaoke machine broke during this song and the children carried on without the words.
Sadly, our evening of song was cut short, and the children were deprived of my version of Barry Manilow's 'Copacobana'. Still, there is always next year!
