And so the term ends

At 11.30am this morning the corridors will have a last burst of noise as excited children say farewell to their teachers and friends, and make their way home to prepare for adventures that lie ahead. Many displays have come down and there are no events being planned or practised; the building will grow quiet. In the slumbering silence of inactivity, you know that a school is the people and not the building.
I want to take a moment to thank all the teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, guards, canteen staff, cleaners, maintenance staff, parents and, of course, children for making 2012-2013 a fantastic year at Tu Xuong.  The recognition of the inspectors that we were an outstanding school was only confirmation of what Ms Sue and I believed already.  The commitment and dedication of the whole staff team ensures the children receive an excellent education.
There are so many events and memories for this year, so I have put some photos in a slide show below.  Enjoy.
For those leaving, I wish you every success for the future, and for those returning in August, I hope you have a wonderful holiday and look forward to hearing about your adventures.
