Last year we introduced Information Literacy as a separate subject. It proved to be very successful, in fact the inspectors from the UK said that it has had a 'considerable positive impact on the curriculum'. After graduating from Cambridge University, Mr Richard has spent several years teaching in England. He has a passion for stories which of course makes him ideal for working in our library. Stories can be told in different ways, and researching information, selecting what is best and the presenting what you have found are key skills that are required for any good story teller. These are the skills that Mr Richard will be teaching the children from F3 up to Year 6 as part of our information literacy programme. The other part to Mr Richard's job is spending a morning each in 6X, 2X and F2; during this time he will be releasing Mr James, Ms Estelle and Ms Gurvinder from their classes so they can spend time focusing on Mile Post Leadership responsibilities.
