Fire Drill with the Fire Department

As part of our Health and Safety Policy, we have a fire drill once a term, but it is a year to the day since we last had a full scale practice of our evacuation procedures.  Working with the fire department, we try to make the exercise as authentic as possible.  

The children were excellent as the evacuated the building and all the staff including teachers, canteen staff, teaching assistants, guards, cleaners etc. were well briefed as to their responsibilities.

Our guards have been trained in how to safely attempt to deal the fire before the fire service arrived and today we simulated two member of staff being trapped in the building and requiring first aid after their rescue. Both Mr. Tue and Mr. Nhat played their part well and were, of course, absolutely fine.
