Our Visiting Author - Liz Million

Each year, during Book Week we bring out an author from the UK;  you may remember Ian Billings and Terry Caffrey.  Both of these authors were poets, so this year we decided to bring someone a bit different.  Liz Million is an author illustrator, who has written and illustrated many books.  Her most recent title is 'Digger', a fun loving dinosaur and his friends.  You may have seen all the paintings of the characters in Digger around the walls of our EYFS department.
On Tuesday, Liz was at TX working with our youngest children and oldest children.  After an assembly for parents and children, Liz worked with small groups in F1, F2 and F3 producing drawings of different characters and animals.  Later she spent time helping the children in Years 5 and 6 develop Greek mythological characters and science fiction aliens.
After school, she even spent some time helping the teachers consider how drawing characters can help develop story writing.  We look forward to seeing her working with Mile Posts 1 and 2.
