As we head into the last two weeks of term we have a number of events that will be happening. Please write them in your diary or on your calendar to make sure nobody misses out.
Thursday 12th December @ 7.30am - 2pm
This
term the Year 6 pupils have been very busy with their community partner school,
Poussieres de Vie; working hard on an Art project under the skillful guidance
of Ms Charlie. The project has been based around traditional Vietnamese art
styles and has seen the children work enthusiastically to produce some
excellent pieces. As this project draws to a close, the work that the children
have completed is to be displayed in the foyer at TX on Thursday 12th
December from 7:30am until 2:00pm. Each class will get the opportunity to visit
the exhibition throughout the day, where Year 6 children will guide visitors
around and explain the methods used. Parents will be able to visit the
exhibition when they are in school from 7:30 onwards.

Community Art Project Exhibition
This
term the Year 6 pupils have been very busy with their community partner school,

of Ms Charlie. The project has been based around traditional Vietnamese art
styles and has seen the children work enthusiastically to produce some

exhibition when they are in school from 7:30 onwards.
Aside
from meeting new friends and developing their art skills, the very serious aim
of the project was to raise funds to buy art resources for the Poussieres de
Vie children. In order to do this, at the exhibition there will be the chance
for children and parents to buy badges, postcards, stickers and greetings cards
produced from the children’s art work, as well as the once in a lifetime
opportunity to buy the original art works themselves, at incredibly reasonable
prices. All the items would make fantastic Christmas presents for lucky family
members and friends.
In order
to purchase from the exhibition, children need to buy tokens (in multples of
10000vnd) from the Year 6 children in the foyer before school this week to
Thursday’s exhibition. These can then be ‘spent’ when the children visit the
exhibition. The cheapest items will be sold for 10000vnd with other items
costing 20000 and 30000vnd. Please remember that the sale is to make money for
resources for our community partners.
The Year
6 children thank you for your support.
Thursday 12th December @ 8.30am
This is our Milepost 2 production, telling the story of two tribes separated, not only by a river, but also by culture, fear and lies. When a film crew arrives and arranges for a bridge to be built, the results could be disastrous.
The stage has been set up in the hall today and it is going to be a great show.

The children in 2T will be sharing some Christmas poetry and helping us all get into the festive mood.

Tuesday 17th December
TX Christmas Extravaganza!
The Christmas Extravaganza is coming up
next Tuesday on the 17th December. In music we have been working
very hard learning lots of songs for the show.
For homework this week, Mr Robbie has
asked for everyone to look on the TX Music Blog www.xmusic2013-2014.blogspot.com and learn
the lyrics for our songs, which he has posted. Everyone will be singing ‘Let it
Snow’ plus two more songs per milepost.
