The TXhibition and Workshops

The TXhibition is now in full swing.  So far children from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 have had an opportunity to look at the artwork produced over the term and then take part in an art activity with Ms Charlie and their mums and dads.
Year 5 started the proceedings with an opportunity to do some printing.  After the design was sketched on a linoleum tile, tools were used to carve out the patterns, paint was applied and the then the prints began to appear.  Year 6 have come a long way with their portrait drawing; this was evident today as some children had the opportunity to draw a portrait of their mum.  Year 3 and 4 came together and continued their exploration into still life.  Across the BIS there is a 'peace lily competition' where each class and department have been charged with looking after the plant.  The Year 3s and 4s were using them today as their focus for drawing; it was apparent once again how their skills have developed over the course of this term.
