Last week I introduced Ms Charlie, our new art teacher. This week I would like to introduce Mr Robbie. Mr Robbie originally comes from Scotland, although after teaching in his homeland for a while, he spent 3 years working in Prague in the Czech Republic. It was in Prague that he met a former teacher of TX, Lizzie Pollard who taught in EYFS a few years ago. No doubt she told Mr Robbie what a great school TX is. Mr Robbie is very good keyboard player and led the school wonderfully during assembly last week as they sang 'Read All About It' by Emeli Sande. Considering the children had only been back one week, they did an amazing job. I managed to record part of the song which you can see below.
When I popped into Mr Robbie's music lesson with 4X today, they were busy learning about pentatonic scales and starting to put together their own compositions.
We look forward to all the contributions Mr Robbie is going to make at TX. He is already a bit hit with the children - when I asked one of the Year 4 children about Mr Robbie, the reply was simple...'He's awesome!'
