Purposeful play is an essential part of our curriculum for children in F1, F2 and F3. The role play area enables children to develop their communication skills, to explore and try to make sense of the world. This week the children have been very interested in the world of beauty and the role-play area has proved very popular with, not only the children in F3, but children in other classes who chose to visit during their 'Golden Time' and teachers. In fact, I had to go three times before they could fit me in to have my hair styled. The children were very attentive to all my needs and decided that I needed a bit of 'wet' look. Despite the offers, I decided not to have my nails painted, however this option was taken up by quite a few others.
I believe the salon is open next week, so if you get the chance, why not pop in.
