Celebrating Moon Festival

Boom...boom...boom...boom!  The sound of the drum was reverberating around the foyer this morning. When I came out of the office, I expected to see a troupe of dragon dancers and there was, of a fashion. The children from F1, F2 and F3 were celebrating the Moon Festival by doing their own dragon dances and being accompanied by different children taking it in turns on the drum.  Away from the foyer, there were all sorts of activities going on in the F1 and F2 classrooms; lantern making, face painting, Moon Cake making, Moon Cake eating, colouring, reading, etc.
The rest of the school will be celebrating the Moon Festival with songs and the lantern parade in assembly, tomorrow morning, so it fell to Ms Sue and I to complete one of the most difficult jobs of the school year; judging the lanterns. Just have a look at the lanterns in the slideshow below to see how high the standard is this year.  The winners for each class have been decided, but they are a closely guarded secret...until tomorrow morning.
